Description of the training program (training course)

This program has been designed to meet the training needs in the Saudi labor market, based on the requirements of the Unified Saudi Classification of Occupations, in order to qualify trainees to carry out the tasks of the profession: cleaning and management supervisor, profession code 515101.

The profession of a cleaning and management supervisor is summed up in supervising, coordinating and implementing cleaning and management activities in commercial facilities to keep the facilities tidy and clean, as well as contributing to preserving the public health of the users of those facilities and also contributing to preserving the general environment.

The profession of cleaning and management supervisor requires performing the following main tasks:

• Managing the service schedule, planning and preparing staff work schedules

• Supervising employees while performing their cleaning and tidying duties

• Follow environmental health and safety policies and procedures

• Monitor cleaning supply inventory and availability of equipment and other supplies needed to carry out the work

• Ensure the safety of the equipment used and ensure its suitability for the required work

• Encourage the implementation of housekeeping policies and procedures

 

  The general objective of the training program

The course aims to provide the trainee with the necessary skills and information to obtain the competencies required to carry out the duties of the cleaning and management supervisor profession.

This course covers both the behavioral and supervisory parts and the professional part for the trainee to perform the job of cleaning and management supervisor. The trainee’s supervisory skills are developed and developed through developing the following general behavioral competencies:

o Responsibility

o Teamwork

o Flexibility to change

o Initiative

Professional skills are developed and developed through training in the following professional competencies:

o Scheduling visits

o Supervising and inspecting cleaning operations

o Responsibility for laundry and cleaning

o Cleaning and polishing floors

o Safety instructions

 

  Detailed objectives of the training program

This course was designed based on the Arab Standard Occupational Classification, which is the occupational classification system used in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and covers all professions and jobs existing in the local labor market, including professions in the public and private sectors.

· This course covers both the supervisory part and the professional part for the trainee to perform the job of cleaning and management supervisor.

· By the end of this course, the trainee will be able to competently:

· General behavioral competencies “Responsibility”: The ability to bear individual responsibility for achieving goals with the required quality and on time.

· General behavioral competencies “Teamwork”: The ability to work collectively and in a team spirit and maintain good relationships inside and outside the organizational unit in order to achieve common goals.

· General behavioral competencies: “Flexibility to change”: the ability to adapt and work effectively in various circumstances, understand different points of view, and accept change in work requirements.

· General behavioral competencies “initiative”: the ability to show sufficient care to achieve work goals and the desire to complete additional tasks that serve the interest of the work without being asked to do so, and to present new ideas and proposals stemming from the desire for improvement and development.

· Service Scheduling: Manage the schedule of services. Planning and preparing employee work schedules

· Inventory Control: Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other supplies

· Supervising cleaners and housekeeping workers: Supervising employees while performing their duties, such as mopping, sweeping, mopping/polishing floors, cleaning bathrooms, changing sheets, enforcing safety instructions, and all laundry and cleaning responsibilities.
