The NVQ Level 7 international diploma is designed to provide learners with the expertise required to undertake a career as a health and safety manager. It also provides a sound basis for progression to postgraduate study. The scope of the programme is to provide a career path for learners who wish to develop their practical capabilities within the health and safety sector.
This course is fully regulated by OFQUAL UK.
Unit Details
The diploma provides 60 credit points for 4 units through assessments. This qualification is divided into four units:
- •Unit 701: Management-Driven, Risk-Based Safety Management Systems
- •Unit 702: Globalisation, Sustainability and Safety Culture Performance
- •Unit 703: Digitalisation and Incident Investigation
- •Unit 724: Development as a Strategic Manager
Entry Requirements
The Level 7 International Diploma requires candidates to have demonstrable experience in safety and health in a workplace. To qualify for this, candidates should meet any of the minimum qualifications listed below:
- •A minimum of a Level 6 qualification in an ESC course or in a related sector
- •Bachelors in Engineering
- •Masters in Engineering
- •A minimum of 3 years' managerial work experience demonstrating current and relevant industry knowledge
- •NVQ Diploma Level 6
- •NEBOSH International Diploma
Learning Outcomes
The overall learning outcomes of the diploma are as follows:

- •Evaluate the role of strategic leadership in risk management

Assessment Criteria & Course Duration
Learners can attempt the 4 modules at the comfort of their workstations. Module submissions are accepted electronically via email. Learners can choose any module to work on, but must only submit one module at a time. All information provided must be the learner's own work, with full information fully referenced.
Learners will submit completed modules to the assessor. The assessor will provide feedback to fill the gaps. This is a cyclic process, and that's how a learner will progress in this qualification.
The course validity is for 18 months. A learner can opt to submit modules within this time frame, as and when they complete a module, then submit it for assessor review.
