Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the NEBOSH Diploma and an NVQ qualification in occupational health and safety?
The NEBOSH Diploma follows a structured syllabus and formal assessments to develop advanced occupational health and safety knowledge. An NVQ assesses competence through evidence of what you do in the workplace. An NVQ route therefore requires a suitable role and access to evidence demonstrating the qualification's requirements. It is not simply an assessment-free alternative. Compare the exact qualifications, assessment methods and current professional recognition against your experience and goals.
