Highfield Level 1 International Award in Working in Confined Spaces
This qualification has been designed for learners working in any environment who will be responsible for confined space work. This qualification will enable learners to comprehend the roles and responsibilities of individuals, the requirements of a secure system of work when working in confined spaces, and the safe selection and application of appropriate safety equipment.

What you will study

- 04How long will it take? — A half-day classroom-based course with a minimum contact time of 4 hours, at any Highfield approved international centre. There are no specific age restrictions for this qualification
- 05What next? — Progress to Highfield Level 1 International Award in the Principles of Health and Safety at Work; Highfield Level 1 Award in the Principles of Health and Safety within the Workplace (RQF); Highfield L2 Award in Health & Safety within the Workplace (RQF); or Highfield Level 2 International Award in Risk Assessment
Methods of study
- •Classroom – ½ day (minimum 4 contact hours) at any Highfield approved International centre
Assessment
30-minute multiple-choice examination containing 15 questions. Learners must achieve at least 9 correct answers to be awarded a Pass; 12 or more correct answers will be awarded a Distinction.
